Coming Your Way by Tom Cooney, lyrics It’s in the shift of the wind In the glowing of the light In the first hint of feeling restless Where change does abide It’s in the first mighty geese riding South In a bed of ferns crackling to life It’s when your heart learns it can’t live alone You know it is time So take that step, small and unsteady Take that breath, one at a time Hold the Now in the palm of your hand Sacred and wild Steady your heart, steady your gaze Steady ahead, there’s only today Time and Love, the great healers Are coming your way, coming your way This is the day you will find what was stolen The day you reclaim your role It’s the day the ice breaks on the great river Soon love with flow So take that step, small and unsteady Take that breath, one at a time Hold the Now in the palm of your hand Sacred and wild Steady your heart, steady your gaze Steady ahead, there’s only today Time and Love, the great healers Are coming your way, coming your way

Oh Sweet Angie by Tom Cooney Sleepytime on the Albermarle I don’t have one thing to say The Sun rocks crimson on the water A warm evening of a slow Carolina day Head back, feet up, in my little boat I’m drifting to and fro I gotta song buried deep in my heart That I can’t seem to find or let go Oh, Sweet Angie, C’mon stay by my side Your love saved me I wanna’ thank you ‘til the day I die Thank you ‘til the day I die Well this old world is full of such joy and sorrow And I still love it at the end of the day I watch that Strawberry Moon climb up outta’ the ocean I smell the sweet winds of change comin my way Oh, Sweet Angie, C’mon stay by my side Your love saved me I wanna’ thank you ‘til the day I die Thank you ‘til the day I die Thank you ‘til the day I die

Dancing on the Moon by Tom Cooney The breath of twilight caresses the air The river mist hangs sweet and fair The evening swallows, they whisper their tune: “Dancing on the Moon” Why have the stars called us here? What is this magic pulsing everywhere? I close my eyes I hope that I’m soon Dancing on the Moon From a timeless shadow you appear Resplendent in your smile And when our eyes meet I am off my feet Dreaming all the while A perfect moment it never comes Yet here we dream inside of one Our lips touch and the world is new Dancing on the Moon Dancing on the Moon Dancing on the Moon

Company Man 03:36
Company Man by Tom Cooney Daddy flew the money bags through the night to Tehran Grandpa ran gold from Banana Republics He was tradin’ tanks and guns And me, I’ve been flyin’ right seat Before I learned how to ride a bike So I joined the family business ‘Cause I love to touch the Sky I’m a Company Man Bringing chaos and democracy All war, all the time Anywhere I want to be I’m a Company Man From a DC-3, to a 737 To my little C-5A Black paint, no lights or call letters I fly by night to save the day I got diplomats to spin the lies Bankers to wash the gold Deep pockets of poor-boy soldiers And the media to get it all sold I’m a Company Man Bringing chaos and democracy All war, all the time Anywhere I want to be I’m a Company Man Uncle Gerry flies the cocaine from Bogota to LA Little sister flies renditions But to where she cannot say And me, I’m runnin’ Donny’s Lear Jets to Moscow And to the troll farms in Belarus Last one out turn out the lights It’s the FUBAR Blues I’m a Company Man Bringing chaos and democracy All war, all the time Anywhere I want to be I’m a Company Man I’m a Company Man I’m a Company Man

Floats Like A Stone by Tom Cooney Red sky at morning, Blue heart at night Red sky at morning, Blue heart at night These Crimson blues, This uphill life Indigo soul, got me feelin’ so alone Indigo soul, got me feelin’ alone My burdensome heart, floats like a stone Since I was a young boy, I live what I learn I think everybody, they live what they learn ‘Don’t trust nobody, and all love I do spurn Born under that steel blue ice, Baby, you get burned No solace, no place to call home No solace, no place to call home My burdensome heart, floats like a stone My burdensome heart, floats like a stone

She Flew Away by Tom Cooney I slowly leaned in to steal one more kiss And I had one thing left to say Something that might explain all of this But when I closed my eyes she flew away She was the goddess she made the planets move Time and tide they held her sway She walked like Bacall, a sensuous groove, But when I closed my eyes she flew away We fumble in the dark Unlit candles in our hands Searching for love’s spark Crying, “Someone please understand” I held her near, I bared my soul She is the night, she is the day But the harder I tried, the further my goal As I fell to my knees she flew away As I fell to my knees she flew away As I fell to my knees she flew away

How? 05:32
"How?" by Tom Cooney How do you do the things You mysteriously do? How do you make us one Where there were two? How do you stop the world With the touch of your hand And calm my restless soul? I don’t understand Oh, how? How do you build the nest No one can see? How do you keep love true Yet still be free? How do you grow our love Like ripples from a stone And embrace this needy world ‘til everywhere is home? Oh, how? How can I love you more Beyond myself? And give you what you need? Please, please tell How do I free our love From the bonds of time? Far beyond forever Oh what we might find! Oh, how?

Winter’s Bloom by Tom Cooney The first snowfall of winter Wraps her loving blanket on the world ‘Lays down a silence more precious Than any diamond or pearl The rainbow of autumn leaves has fallen Giving her all to earth below And so I surrender to love’s calling And the wonder of making new love grow My seasons turn to you, love WIll I lay in your arms soon To kindle the fire of our new love And grow the heart of winter’s bloom? Winter’s sun beams through the bare trees And lands so kindly on your face The fire of our love grows in your eyes In a moment time never will erase My seasons turn to you, love WIll I lay in your arms soon To kindle the fire of our new love And grow the heart of winter’s bloom? And grow the heart of winter’s bloom?

The Dream of the Baby Jesus by Tom Cooney Before time was time In the singularity All was hope Becoming to be From whence we’ve strayed To the sirens of greed Let this glorious season Wash our souls clean In The Dream of the Baby Jesus The hungry are all fed And the poor are all blessed And the heart, well, it rules the head Let the glorious star of Bethlehem Shine the light that frees us And all the world will live as one In the dream of the Baby Jesus Jesus, Jesus, Jesus Well the road we’re on Now it’s dark and steep And it’s marked by fear Of those in need But in my sleep Compassion flows And the Way of Peace Resounds, resounds and grows In The Dream of the Baby Jesus The hungry are all fed The poor are all blessed And the heart, well, it rules the head Let the radiant star of Bethlehem Forge the light that frees us And all the world will be as one In The Dream of the Baby Jesus Jesus, Jesus, Jesus

No Answers Today by Tom Cooney I like to stand in the rain Turn my face up to the sky Let the heavens wash down on me I don’t even know why I like to lasso the stars As they race through the night And I fly through a million worlds Just wondering why Oh, time rolls in on the creeping tide The moon dances on her waves The wind is whispering questions That have no answers today I like to count the hours As they fill up the day I always stop after one or two It’s such a silly game I like to freeze every moment When I’m close by your side ‘Til I discover its wonder Now I’m wondering why Oh, time rolls in on the creeping tide The moon dances on her waves The wind is whispering questions That have no answers today
